Last December I got a call from Melanie. She said, "Mom, I just don't feel well. I am sick to my stomach, my head aches and my back aches..." My first thought was "Oh, it's flu season." But then she said one more thing that changed my mind. She said, "And I'm craving raisins." Holy Cow! She has always HATED raisins!!! I squealed, "YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!" She said, "Please don't say anything to anybody. We're not even totally sure yet."
I have been sitting on this WONDERFUL news for so long!!! Well, Monday they went to the Doctor to find out the gender. I figure it's time to shout it from the roof tops!!!
I'M GOING TO HAVE A GRANDSON!!!! They are due September 18, 2011.
Needless to say, I'm ECSTATIC!!!! Now, all I do is watch kids and giggle...I'm going to have one of those soon!!!
And as excited as I am, I don't think I can hold a candle to Elliot and Melanie. They already have almost EVERYTHING they need - including over 1,000 diapers - REALLY!!! Their nursery is all put together and ready, and you can bet that in the next couple of days, they'll have an ENTIRE wardrobe of darling boys clothes!!! (Elliot has already got a Real Soccer shirt for him).
For anyone who has seen Elliot and Melanie with kids, you KNOW they are going to be 'parents extraordinaire'.
Have I mentioned that I'm excited?!?! (Giggle)
